Anonymous asked: If you could have cast anyone as Daisy Buchanan, who would you pick?
I think Carey Mulligan was absolutely divine. I adore all of her films, and I especially adore her as Daisy. I suppose if I had to pick someone prior to seeing the film, I would have chosen Evan Rachel Wood. I mean look at her!
I have the urge to take a trip to Paris and cut my hair like Daisy Buchanan…neither of which can happen, so I’m stuck in my apartment with a severe case of restlessness and wanderlust.
At 1 am I often find myself remembering people from my past, and imagining what it would be like to run into them someday at a coffee shop on the street corner. We would look at each other from across the room, recognize the familiar face, and then talk about the past like nothing has changed. I play out our entire conversation, and only at the “goodbye’s” do I realize that I have fabricated this entire encounter. I cannot seem to wrap my mind around the fact that I will never have this closure with so many of my relationships.

I’m watching the lunar eclipse from my old fire escape, and the mystery of the cosmos is consuming my entire being.
